Evelyn A. (Rogler) Weed, 98, of Tewksbury, MA passed away peacefully at her home on June 9, 2026.
Born in Manchester, NH on May 25, 1928, to Lily J. (Schloth) Rogler and William C. Rogler.
Evelyn graduated from West High School in 1946 where she was #1 in her commercial course. Her first job was with Nathaniel F. Bigelow Jr. CPA where she worked in accounting. During that time Evelyn enjoyed going to dances where she met Kenneth Weed Jr. They fell in love and married in March of 1952.
They eventually moved to Burlington, MA where they raised their three children. Evelyn took in foster care babies with Catholic Charities while her children were young. The whole family enjoyed having babies in the house and even though they were happy for them when they were adopted, they were missed.
As her children grew older, Evelyn went to work for Wentworth Institute in the registrar’s office and over the years, Jersey Testing Labs and UTS of Mass, Inc. She worked at UTS for 35 years until she retired at age 84.
Evelyn loved to travel. She was fortunate to travel with her husband Ken, her daughter Kathleen and her sister Eleanor. She loved going down to Key West, then Naples, FL for many winters, to spend time with her brother Bill and his wife Carol. They had many fun times. Evelyn planned two special cruises with her children and grandchildren over the years that everyone thoroughly enjoyed and remember fondly. She even planned a day of zip lining with her family to celebrate her 85th birthday!
After leaving Burlington, they moved to Woburn, where they lived for 20 years. In 2007 Evelyn moved to a new 55 plus condo complex in Tewksbury. She made a lot of friends there, playing cards, joining a chat group and getting involved in many social functions. She even served on the condo board as a treasurer and on the Landscape Committee.
Her biggest joy was spending time with her family.
She will be deeply missed by her three children:
Barbara (Weed) Robillard and her husband Joseph, Michael Weed and his wife Denise and Kathleen (Weed) Svenson and her husband Carl.
Her five grandchildren:
Brian Robillard, Julianne (Robillard) Robichaud and her husband Jeremy, Brad Robillard and his wife Jillian, Jessica (Weed) Fenerlis and her husband Jonathan and Kevin Weed.
Her eight great grandchildren: Kayleigh, William, Callahan, Emery, Ethan, Bennett, Nolan and Hannah
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Ken and her sister Eleanor Swindlehurst. She also leaves behind her brother Bill who will miss her visits and their phone calls, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to Evelyn’s two wonderful caregivers for the past 1 ½ years, Fatuma and Doreen., and Rosemary for 3 years prior.
Calling hours are Wednesday, June 17, from 9: 00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by services to be held in the funeral home. Services will conclude with burial at the Pine Grove Cemetery,765 Brown Avenue, Manchester, NH.
