Karen Annette Goodwin Glass, 86, passed away June 2, 2026, with family by her side.
Born March 18, 1940 in Altus, Arkansas to Wymath and Clarence Goodwin. She moved to Ventura when she was 4 years old. She attended Ventura High School and was always proud to have placed third in the Miss Ventura County beauty contest.
Karen dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker and caring for her four children; Cindy, Terrie, Mark and Jody. She was always the happiest when her family was near. She raised her children with love and unwavering support. Caring for her children and grandchildren meant the most to her in life. Her family was her pride and joy, she loved watching children grow and seeing their accomplishments. She will always be remembered for her kind loving heart, her sassy attitude, always making sure there were special treats for visiting grandchildren, her famous marshmallow fruit salad, enchiladas, lemon supreme cake and chocolate chip cookies. Her other love was hitting the casino with her daughters by her side.
Karen remarried Bill Glass who sadly passed away in 2024. She is survived by her four children, Cindy (Kirk) Prouse, Terrie (Chris) Longo, Mark (Michelle) Thompson, Jody (Lee) Magana: her two stepchildren Jeannie (Robert) Anderson, David Glass: eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
We would like to thank the team at Assisted Home Hospice for their loving care and a special thank you to her caretaker, Nazeema Thompson, who always knew how to make her smile.
