Obituary

Owen Francis Dolan, Jr., age 75, of Mansfield, MA passed away suddenly, with his son and daughter-in-law at his side on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He was the beloved husband of his predeceased wife Paula Brousseau Dolan, to whom he was married for forty-seven years.

Born in San Diego, California on February 3, 1951, he was a mischievous, caring son of Owen (Sr.) and Margaret Dolan.

Owen grew up in Norwich, CT and was a graduate from St. Bernard High School. He furthered his studies by graduating from Providence College and later with a master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Dolan had been employed as a Budget Analyst (Angel-yst) for the Department of Interior: Peace Corps’ Central Office, and the Department of Veteran Affairs. Alongside his wife Paula, he shared a love of Jamaica; where together they served in the Peace Corps in the 1980s.

He made his home in Mansfield for the past nine years, and was formerly of Alexandria, VA. Owen was a truly charismatic father and friend. He enjoyed spending time in nature, playing the guitar, playing dominoes, losing at Uno, and staying active (particularly at the local Foxboro YMCA.)

He is survived by his son Casey O. Dolan and his wife Caitlin of Norwood. He was the best Pepe to Madelyn, Natalie, Camden, and Andrew Dolan. He was the brother and brother-in-law to Bill and Maureen McMullen of Sudbury, Patrick and Eileen Dolan of Norwich, Michael and Sheri Dolan (predeceased), Brian and Catherine Dolan-Carroll, Greg and Ann Arpin, John and Katherine Dolan, and Joseph and Diane Dolan. He was a spirited uncle to Jill Danese and her husband Craig, Meagan Sheffield, Matthew McMullen, Sarah Dolan-Adamec, James Dolan, Mary Hinton, Micaela Powner, Daniel Carroll, Kaitlyn Klosterman, Jake Arpin, Richelle Topping, Colleen Greeley, Kevin Dolan, Carley Dolan, Shannon Dolan, and Liam Dolan. He was the great-uncle to many and was particularly close with Madison and Sydney Danese.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, June 14th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Sherman Jackson Funeral Home, 55 N Main Street, Mansfield, MA 02048.

His Mass will be held on Monday, June 15th at 11:00am at Saint Catherine of Siena at 549 Washington St, Norwood, MA 02062.

Following the committal services, a reception will be held at Conrad’s Casual Dining Restaurant in Norwood, MA.

Burial will be held at a later date, to be announced and updated later.
