Dean Patrick Griffin

Dean Patrick Griffin, 68, of Anderson passed away on June 9, 2026 at his home following an extended illness with cancer.
He was born on November 14, 1957 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to William and Catherine Griffin. He was a 1974 graduate of Anderson High School. He worked for the Wonder Bread Store on Silver Street for 15 years. He put himself through HVAC and CDL School. He started his HVAC career of 15 years starting at Huck Heating and Cooling for 10 years which later became Dial One Heating/Air for another 5 years. He was also a truck driver for two years.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed being a handyman and was a jack-of-all-trades and remodeled his own home. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and country music. He was very proud of his children.
He is survived by his three children, Chris (Terra) Griffin of Yukon, OK, Dean (Zoe) Griffin of Hutto, TX and Tiffany Perdew of Anderson; two sisters, Sarah (Ronnie) Erisman of Ansonia, OH and Jane Hosier of Anderson; 11 grandchildren, Dean Griffin III, Raiyn Griffin, Liam Griffin, Katherine Griffin, Tyus Elswick, Erin Elswick, Adon Elswick, Jordan Elswick, Leo Elswick, Ava Griffin and Lucy Griffin; 1 great-grandchild, Andrew Elswick and one on the way in July; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Jaquan Griffin and two brothers, William "Billy" Griffin and Robert "Bobby" Griffin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30am on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson with Father Tom Metzger officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30am-11:00am on Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Tunnels to Towers- 9/11 Memorial.
