Laura Jan Johnson

Laura Jan (Wheat) Johnson, 76, of Anderson, passed away at Community Hospital in Anderson on June 9, 2026.
She was born on January 15, 1950 in Anderson, the daughter of "Buck" Wheat and Martha (Schuyler) Wheat Sunderland. Laura owned and operated her own cleaning service for many years. She enjoyed her time at Dewart Lake and spending time with her family. She was a dog lover.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald K. Johnson; her children Michelle Johnson (Mike) Young, and Bryan Johnson; grandchildren Zachary Young, Ashley Young (John McGonigle), Alijah (Katherine) Johnson, Alexander Johnson and Ariana Johnson; great grandchild, Quinlynn McGonigle; siblings Lawrence Joseph Wheat, Phillip Sunderland, Jana (Jeff) Chambers; many nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cynthia Rivers.
A private family memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society.
