Marie D. (Ferri) Andrews, 91, of Plainfield Pike, Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, at Kent Hospital in Warwick.
Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Ella (Bernadoni) Ferri. Marie was a lifelong resident of Johnston and dedicated many years of her career as a hairstylist at Hair-Em-East Beauty Salon in Warwick, where she was known for her skill, sense of humor, and the lasting relationships she built with her clients. She also worked for several years at Town Hall Lanes and the Rossi-Defusco Post in Johnston, where she enjoyed being part of the community.
Marie was happiest spending time with family and friends and will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her loving son, Brian Andrews of Johnston; her grandson, Jacob Zanni of Cranston; her niece, Joelle (Bekasi) Perrone and her husband, Carl, of East Greenwich; her nephew, Jason J. Gizzarelli and his wife, Becca, of Alexandria, VA; her great-nieces, Nicole and Rachel Perrone of Providence, and Riley Gizzarelli; her great-nephews, Carl J. Perrone (CJ) and Noah and Ryan Gizzarelli; her great-great-niece, Luna Gittens; along with many extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her son, Michael Mallane; and her siblings, Joseph M. Ferri, Nicolene (Ferri) Gizzarelli, and Nicolena Ferri.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 12th at 11am at St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Visiting hours will be held on Friday June 12th from 9am to 10:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be private.
