Obituary

Mr. Giovanni Marrone, 82, of Methuen, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at his home
surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lama dei Peligni, Italy on January 9, 1944, he came to
the Merrimack Valley in 1966 and has been an area resident ever since. Mr. Marrone worked as
a mason as part of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Union Local 3 MA ME NH RI. He was a
member of St. Monica Parish and enjoyed working in his yard. The widower of Della
(Boulanger) Marrone, he was also pre-deceased by one daughter: Lisa May, one sister: Teresa
Marrone, and five brothers: Mariano, Saverio, Giulio, Costantino, and Domenico Marrone. Mr.
Marrone is survived by four daughters: Beverly and her husband John Danahy of Fort Worth,
TX, Paula Brow and her companion Gary Garrod of Methuen, Karen Eichhorn of Methuen and
Heather and her husband, Matthew Guay of Methuen; one son, Frederick J. Eichhorn and his
wife Irene of Gilmanton, N.H. one son-in-law Matthew May of Andover, one sister: Angelina
Marrone of Italy, one brother: Antonio Marrone of Australia. There are nine grandchildren, six
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd. Dracut. A
funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Monica Church
in Methuen; burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover. Online condolences can be
