Hampe, Janet C. (Scholer) a 25-year resident of Walpole, MA and beloved mother, grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love that lives on through her devoted children John J. Hampe III, and his wife Georgina of Franklin, Eric J. Hampe and his wife Chenay of Danvers, and Brian J. Hampe and his wife Anri of Danvers. Loving grandmother of Kyle, Kaelin, Raylan and Audrey.
Born on October 14, 1942 in Queens, New York, Janet’s life was defined by her warmth, humorous vibrancy, and an unwavering commitment to the people in her life and those she served as a head nurse in the medical field in both the areas of emergency room and psychiatric adolescent care.
The family would like to thank the palliative and hospice caregivers at Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA for their devotion to Janet since 2023.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, Dedham on Monday, June 8, from 9-11am followed by a short funeral service in the funeral home at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, 0.3 miles from the funeral home.
