Dennis David Fearon, 72, of Dracut, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 31, 2026, following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Dennis leaves behind a legendary collection of automobiles, motorcycles, random parts, and unfinished projects. For 54 years, he was the proud owner of Riverside Autobody and Fearon’s Auto & Paint Supply as it is known today. Outside of the auto parts store, his most prized possessions were his motorcycles and antique automobiles. He took immense pride in tuning them up each year for the annual Centralville Sportsmen’s Club toy drive at Dracut Town Hall.
He was famously known for starting projects that took quite a while to finish, or sometimes remained artfully incomplete. A go-kart he began when his children were young was finally completed decades later when his grandchildren showed an interest. In his younger years, Dennis loved taking long motorcycle rides with friends, occasionally popping a wheelie or pulling off a trick. Having dinner out was always high on his agenda. His deep love for vehicles even extended to the screen, where he happily watched the Disney Cars movie series on repeat. In recent years, his shop evolved into a beloved social club for retired friends, loyal customers, and anyone who simply wanted to swap car stories.
He leaves behind his wife, Michelle (Lafontaine) Fearon of 47 years. His four children, Michael and wife Michelle A. Fearon; Stephen and wife Katelyn Fearon; Kristen Fearon; Kelly (Fearon) Zipps and husband Kevin Zipps. His grandchildren, Arya, Owen, and Paul Fearon; Madeleine and Parker Fearon; and Natalie Zipps. Dennis is also survived by his grandpup, Minnie, and was predeceased by Pixie, the beloved dog who completely stole his heart many years ago.
Dennis is also survived by his mother, Helen (Wilson) Fearon, 94. Brother Donald and wife Victoria Fearon. He was predeceased by his father Richard Fearon, brothers Douglas Fearon and Richard Fearon Jr.
Other family members who will miss his silence, stories, and advice include Janine Lafontaine and Philip Lepine; Denise and Robert Tetreault; Charlene Cohan; Carolyn Lafontaine and William Kotopoulis; Marie Wasylak; Ronald and Carol Lafontaine; Pauline Lafontaine; Carol Lafontaine; Russell Lafontaine; and Rene Lafontaine. And also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including his favorites, Amber and Amy Malavich.
