Obituary

WATERBORO – Alban “Al” Patrick Michaud Sr., age 76, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 30, 2026.

Al was born on August 10, 1949, in Keegan, Maine, the son of Wallace and Jean Michaud. He carried with him throughout his life the values of hard work, loyalty, and devotion to family that defined him.

He spent 35 years working at Lavalley/Deering Lumber before retiring in 2017, where he was known as a steady, dependable presence and someone you could always count on.

Al shared 49 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Aggie. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family, raising four children: Alban Patrick Michaud Jr., Danielle Michaud, Jennifer Gerry, and Justin Michaud. His family was the pride of his life.

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Madison Footer, Conner Dube, Rylee Michaud, Alban Patrick Michaud III, Aidan Michaud, Gavin Michaud, Emily Beaulieu, Morgan Beaulieu, and Brook Beaulieu, and a great-grandfather to Abel Dube and Eloise Beaudell. Nothing brought him more joy than time spent with them.

Al was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Carl “Rey” Michaud Sr.

In addition to his wife and children, he is lovingly remembered by his sister, Gloria Rossi; his brother, Gerald Michaud; and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He had a deep love of music, enjoyed traveling, and found his greatest happiness in simply being with his family. Holidays were especially meaningful to him, and Thanksgiving stood above the rest—a tradition he and Aggie hosted for many years with warmth, humor, and open doors. It was fondly known as “Al & Aggieville,” a place where everyone was welcome and no one left without feeling loved.

Al will be remembered for his quiet strength, his kind heart, and the unwavering love he gave to those closest to him.

A private celebration of life will be held in his honor.
