
Carmen DeLuca, Jr passed away peacefully at his North End home with his beloved wife by his side on Wednesday, May 27th. He was 87. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, Carmen was the son of the late Carmen and Lucy (Mastrangelo) DeLuca.
Carmen lived in the North End and Medford throughout his life. He enjoyed a long career with the Massachusetts Port Authority where he managed warehouse operations at Logan Airport. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Carmen was a kind and generous man. He loved the North End. A good and friendly neighbor, he enjoyed spending time with his friends at their local social club. He was always quick to offer his welcoming smile to his neighbors and visitors to the historic sights. He will be missed by those who knew him.
Carmen was the beloved husband of Frances “Franny” (DeMarco) DeLuca. He was a devoted father to Maria Golen and her husband Peter, and the late Carmen DeLuca, III. He leaves his cherished granddaughter, Amanda Golen. He was the brother of Ann DiMare.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Monday, June 8th in St Leonard Church, 320 Hanover Street, Boston’s North End at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
