Pauline C. Riley-Noble, 66, of Melrose, formerly of Dracut, passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on May 29, 2026, at Melrose Wakefield Hospital, following a period of declining health. She was born on April 9, 1960, in Lowell, the daughter of the late John Riley and the late Theresa (Vigeant) Riley.
Pauline grew up in Lowell and received her education there, including her years at the vocational school. She went on to build a steady career in accounts payable within the technology industry, work that reflected her reliability and quiet diligence.
In her personal life, Pauline found joy in the things closest to her heart. She loved tending her yard and garden, taking pride in what grew under her care. She was skilled with her hands and enjoyed crafting in her spare time. She cheered on her children at their games and never missed a chance to help someone who needed it. Her sense of humor was one of her great gifts, and those who knew her well knew that laughter was never far off when Pauline was in the room. She had a particular fondness for board games, Dominos, Triominos, and Bingo, and her most treasured moments were the ones spent gathered with her family and friends.
She was the devoted wife of Michael Noble, with whom she shared nearly 36 years of marriage, having exchanged vows on June 2, 1990, just days before what would have been their 36th anniversary.
Pauline is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Noble; her two daughters, Jenn L'Heureux of Lowell and Katie Colon and her husband Freddy of Dracut; her four grandchildren, Lacey, Aaliyah, and Layla Colon and Brogin Riley Sousa; her seven siblings, Donna M. Bowles and her husband Steve of Dracut, Jacqueline M. Faneuf and her husband David of Lowell, John T. Riley and his wife Debbie (Burgoyne) of Hudson, NH, Deborah A. Szczechura and her husband Stephen of Pelham, NH, Richard F. Riley and his wife Karen (Cox) of Lowell, Barbara A. Dougherty and her husband Mark of Dracut, and Edward D. Riley and Karen (Paquette) of Lowell; her godson, Joshua Lemire; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, her dear longtime friends Elaine and Eddie Farrington, and her close friend Donna Thomas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 01852. A service of remembrance will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
