
SPRINGFIELD - Glenn C. Hancock, 77, of the Pine Point section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 22, 2026. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on April 21, 1949, a beloved son of the late Clifton H. and Margaret M. (Salter) Hancock. He was raised in Ludlow, graduated from Ludlow High School and had moved to Springfield in the late 1960's where he lived the remainder of his life. He was employed as a machine operator at the former Package Machinery in East Longmeadow. During his leisure time, he enjoyed collecting antiques. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He leaves his four loving siblings, Holly A. Hancock of Three Rivers, Lori J. Frisbie and her husband, Robert, of Wilbraham, Jonathan H. Hancock and his fiancée, Melissa Carmo, of Southwick and U.S. Air Force Retired Colonel Jeffrey H. Hancock and his wife, Deborah, of Anchorage, AK; and his many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving sister, Sharon Mumley. His funeral services will be private and his burial will be private at Fairview Cemetery in Chicopee. There are no visiting hours. His funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
