
Susan R. (Emery) Easton, 78, passed away on April 17, 2026, after an illness at Champion Rehabilitation Center in Brockton. She was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late William and Barbara (Page) Emery.
She grew up in Brockton but also lived in Wareham and Onset before returning back to the city. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and worked in education at the Downey School in Brockton and the Minot Forest School in Wareham.
An avid lover of animals, Sue enjoyed horseback riding with her horse, Windy, in her youth, and cared for many cats, dogs, and even a few reptiles throughout her life. She also loved reading and worked at the Tales to Tell Bookshop in Onset, along with spending time at Onset Beach working at the Onset Beachcomber.
Her most favorite pastime was listening to music. She was a fan of The Beatles, Adam Lambert and Michael Jackson and enjoyed watching concerts of these artists online.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Emery of Brockton, two children, Melissa Bessey of Rochester, and Devon Blanchard of Brockton, three grandchildren, a niece and many cousins; as well as friends at Champion Rehab.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
