Richard H. Bergstrom, 90, of Worcester died Friday May 8th in the Hermitage Nursing Home. His wife of 56 years, Ellen T. (Browne) Bergstrom died in 2020. He is survived by his son, James H. Bergstrom of Worcester and his sister-in-law Catherine T. LaRiviere and her husband, Jim of Worcester.
He was born in Worcester the son of Elmer C. and Dorothy L. (Joslin) Bergstrom and grew up and attended school in Millbury. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. His pastimes included playing cards with friends and he enjoyed collecting both cards and stamps.
Burial with Military Honors will take place on Friday, June 5th at 12 Noon in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to, the Autism Foundation, Inc. 14 Beacon Street, Suite 100a. Boston, MA 02108. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
