
Bonnie Mae Lott Smith, 82, of Omega passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Colquitt County Senior Care in Moultrie. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter officiating. Ms. Smith will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals and on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born December 24, 1943, in Moultrie, Ms. Smith was the daughter of the late Grady Lott and Beulah Golden Lott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Steve Smith; and one sister, Christine Kirkland. Before retiring, she was employed at Shaw Industries in Tifton as a weaver. She loved her family and her church, where she was a member at New Bethel Baptist Church in Tifton.
Ms. Smith leaves behind to cherish her memory one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Julie Smith of Tifton; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerry Lott of Norman Park and Danny and Gwen Lott of Athens; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joann and Calvin Holloway of Moultrie and Joyce Lott of Colorado; and two grandchildren, Anthony Smith and Allison Smith.
The family would like to especially thank Jimmy’s cousin, Gayle, for the exceptional care she provided for Mrs. Smith. The family will be forever grateful.
