SLATTERY, George Bernard of Hyde Park passed away on May 17, 2026. Born November 6, 1939 to George and Helen (Harte) Slattery. George worked for the Haffenreffer Brewery as a young man and later at the Jamaica Plain Post Office for 35 years, retiring in 2001. Beloved husband of Constance (Hart) Slattery for 58 Years. Loving father of Sean Michael Slattery and his partner Rebecca Hendersen of Jamaica Plain and grandfather of Violet Slattery. Loving brother of James Slattery and his late wife Ann of Medford. Beloved cousin of the late Jimmy Slattery of South Yarmouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. George was a member of the Boston Emerald Society.
