
Paul R. Cote, 92 died May 18, 2026, at Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester, NH, on May 22, 1933, the son of Amedee and Bertha (Camire) Cote.
He followed in his father's footsteps and became a Master Electrician. He worked at the family-owned Cote’s Bakery, servicing and repairing the equipment at both the Manchester, NH, and Lewiston, MA, locations for 22 years. He went on to work for his brother at Cote Electric, Inc., Sanders Associates, Inc. (now BAE Systems), Cummings Printing, and for the Diocese of Manchester for 18 years until his retirement at age 87.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard as a Master Sergeant from 1949 to 1959.
He always had a smile and a positive attitude and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed sailing, camping, and time spent with family and friends. He always had an “I can do it" attitude, remaining independent and living on his own right up to the end.
Family members include two daughters, his sister-in-law, Pauline Cote of Bedford, nieces, Tasha Meszar and husband Jay of Bedford, Shannon Woodward and husband Dan of Weare, nephew, Lance Cote and wife Julie of Bedford, along with their children. He also leaves his longtime companion, Pauline Dixon, and her family, including Holly and Mark Hamel and their extended family, who considered him family.
Special mention to his neighbors, Carl and Jaceline MacConnell.
He was predeceased by his brother Raymond R. Cote and the love of his life Muriel Wantuck, who both passed in 1999.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 10 am in St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Rd, Auburn, NH.
Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.
