Obituary

Erin L. (McLean) Guendner, age 47, a resident of Tewksbury for 19 years, formerly of Quincy, passed away at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln on Friday, May 15, 2026, following a tenacious battle with Pancreatic cancer.

She was the beloved wife and best friend of Stephen L. Guendner, with whom she shared 19 years of marriage and devoted mother of Cameron Guendner.

Born in Quincy on July 8, 1978, she was the daughter of Brenda A. (Bradley) McLean, of Raynham and the late Russell G. McLean.

Erin was raised in Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School. Following graduation, she attended U.Mass-Boston.

Prior to her illness, Erin worked in accounting for the First Electric Motor Service Company in Woburn. Previously, she spent many years at Ford Motor Credit in Braintree and Expressway Motors in Boston. Erin loved working hard and instilled those values in Cam.

Erin was a master at sarcasm and sharp wit and would give anyone that had the “bees knees” to verbally spar with her a run for their money. Erin loved fashion and always dressed stylishly and fastidiously. She also adored decorating, especially her beloved “BirkenHaus” in Campton, New Hampshire. She enjoyed many other activities including walking her dogs “Kolbi” and then “Maddy”, painting watercolors, craft projects, sailing aboard “Spindrift” and last but certainly not least, bargain shopping with her sister and her friends.

Erin’s greatest enjoyment came from attending her son’s many academic and athletic events at Tewksbury Memorial High School as well as the numerous hours she and Cam spent one-on-one studying and tossing a football or lacrosse ball around their yard surrounded by many hydrangeas that Erin cared for. She was a proud “Redmen” athletics fan and a passionate sports “Mom”.

In addition to her husband, son and mother, family members include her mother’s partner, Kevin Jordan, of Raynham: siblings, Brenda Baio, and her husband Patrick, and niece, Megan, of East Bridgewater, Derek O’Rourke, of Weymouth, Kacie Jordan, of Taunton, the late Sean W. McLean, and her niece Kelsey, Eric Guendner and his wife Rosie, and niece Hazel, and nephews, Nico and Andrew. Erin leaves numerous extended family members and loyal friends. Erin was so touched and appreciative of the incredible support system of Katelyn Balzarini, of Quincy and her “Tewksbury Ladies” Dina Callahan, Lisa Broderick, and Jessica Carmody, that carried her and fought along with her until the very end.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, May 22, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. At Erin’s request, there are No Funeral Services planned. A private celebration of life will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the family support fund to assist with expenses in Erin’s memory through https://gofund.me/8232c1fe9

The family is deeply grateful for your love and support during this time.
