Lenore “Nora” (Pano) Kiritsy, 92, died Sunday, September 17, 2006, in her home. Her husband John P. Kiritsy died in 1952. She leaves two daughters, Dorothy P. Prifti and her husband, James K., and Marion Giantris, widow of Louis M.; a son, Thomas J. Kiritsy of Lincoln, NE; a brother, James K. Pano and his wife Florence of Watertown; five grandchildren, Sandra J. Barolli and her husband Martin M. of Middlebury, CT; Michael J. Prifti and his wife Marina of Paxton; David J. Prifti and his wife Monika L. Andersson of Concord; Laura A. Giantris and her husband J. Eric Lowe of Baltimore, MD; Dr. Amy L. Molten and her husband Jason of Hamden, CT; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Ann Spero and Tefta Pano and a grandson, Peter James Prifti. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Kosta and Angjeli (George) Pano. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church and was a founding member of the Sunday School Mother’s Club of St. Mary’s Albanian Church, now known as the Women’s Guild of St. Mary’s Assumption.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. (Trisagion Service 7 p.m.) at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street.
