Obituary

Robert Louis Toto, “Bob,” 80, left us on January 5, 2026 following a valiant 10 year fight with kidney failure. Born and raised in Newton, MA, Bob was a 52 year resident of Needham, MA.

Bob is predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Cynthia “Cindi” Toto. He is survived by his son Michael and his wife Nicole, his daughter Lindsay and his 7 grandchildren Kiley, Madison, Bentley, Rylan, Travis, Dallas, and Beckham. He is also survived by his sister Patricia (Toto) Federow, his brother- in-law, Walter, his niece Jaime (Federow) Hoyler and nephew Garrett Federow.

Bob, “Totes,” was known for his heart of gold, cheeky sense of humor, and caring nature. He had an ultimate passion for baseball; was a Red Sox season ticket holder for 48 years and coached Needham Legion Baseball.

Bob graduated from Boston College with a BA and furthered his studies at Babson College receiving his MA in Business Administration. He worked at GTE for many devoted years and retired from Gemini Industries as a Financial Controller at age 52. He was deeply loved by his dear family, friends, colleagues, and Gayland Rd neighbors, and is sorely missed.
