Obituary


Jeffrey Michael Mitchell, 68, of East Walpole died Sunday, May 10, at Brigham & Women’s Medical Center in Boston following a brave battle with leukemia.

He was the loving husband of Terri Suzanne (Bissanti) Mitchell for the past 43 years.

Jeff was born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania on February 1, 1958. The son of the late Richard and Nancy (Fair) Mitchell, he was raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, attended culinary school at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island, and had lived in Franklin for over 20 years before moving to Eastham where he lived and owned The Talkative Pig restaurant with his family for 8 years.

Jeff was a life-long chef. He enjoyed cooking, celebrating good times with friends and family, traveling, music, golfing, and rooting on his favorite sports teams. He had recently started relearning to play the guitar.

In addition to his wife Terri, he is survived by his children, Amanda Mitchell of Boston, and Michael Mitchell and his wife Lily Lysiuk, of Portland, Maine.

He is also survived by his siblings Susan Royle of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and David Mitchell of Boarder, Ohio and their families.

Jeff’s services will be private.
