James Stephen Kandzerski, 66, of Griswold Street, Glocester, died Monday, May 11, 2026 at HopeHospice Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence, with his wife and best friend by his side. He was married to Lee (DiRaimo) Kandzerski for 36 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Beverly A. (Logan) Kandzerski of Warwick and the late Robert Kandzerski. James had lived in Providence before moving to Glocester.
Jim was a heavy machine operator for Providence Water Company before retiring in 2010. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed all sports, including hockey. He loved his animals.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Erin Kandzerski of Florida as well as many in-law and extended family members.
His Funeral service will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Park, Johnston. Visitation will be Friday morning, from 10am to 11am. Donations in his memory may be made to the Tomorrow Fund, 10 Davol Sq # 202, Providence, RI 02903
