Obituary

Joanne E. (White) Vincent, 75, of Johnston, RI formerly of Spencer, MA went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 11th in the HopeHealth Hospice Home. She leaves three sons, David Vincent and his wife, Lynn of Johnston, RI with whom she lived, Jamie Vincent and his companion, Kim and John Vincent; two sisters, Shirley Bishop and her husband, Richard of Florida, and Patty Cadrin and her husband, Donald of Grafton; four grandchildren, Sabrina, Erica, Madison and Luke; and five great grandchildren, Emmaly, Buddy, Mariah, Jack and Luka; and several nieces, a nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her former husband, James Vincent; her daughter, DonnaSue Picard; and her sister, Donna Fogg.
Joanne was born and grew up in Worcester, the daughter of late Amos and Dorothy (Cardin) White and spent most of her adult life in Spencer with her family. She was a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College and built a dedicated career marked by hard work and kindness toward others.
She worked for many years at Digital Corporation as a computer technician before continuing her career with Fallon Medical Group, where she served as a Customer Service Representative until her retirement in 2018. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout the years.
In her younger years, Joanne enjoyed bowling and spending time with family and friends. She loved trips to the beach, especially vacationing at Hampton Beach and visiting Cape Cod, where she found peace and happiness by the ocean. Joanne also loved to dance and was always happiest when surrounded by laughter, music, and those she loved.
Most importantly Joanne cherished the time she spent with her family and was affectionately called “Mimi”. She will be remembered by her loving heart, warm spirit and the special memories she created with those closest to her. Her love and devotion to her family will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.
Her funeral is Monday, May 18th at 10:15 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA followed by her burial in Holy Rosary – St. Mary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Sunday, May 17th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
