
Vornie E. Colbath, 83

Vornie E. (Bailey) Colbath, age 83, of Norton, formerly of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, passed away peacefully, surrounded her loving family on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur T.N. Colbath, to whom she was wed for fifty-five years at the time of his death on May 5, 2018.
Born in Cambridge, Maine on February 16, 1943, she was a loving daughter of the late Harold S. and Arlene H. (Lander) Bailey.
Vornie grew up in the town of Cambridge, Maine and was a graduate of Dover-Foxcroft High School. A resident of Norton for over ten years, Mrs. Colbath was a retired Data Entry Processor at the Digital Corporation in Hudson, where she had been employed for over twenty-years.
Spending time with family was always Vornie’s favorite occasion and she was ever-so- happy and filled with joy to have recently attended the wedding of her granddaughter Cassandra. She had an unconditional love in her heart for dogs and will be sadly missed by her faithful and best friend “Star”. Vornie will always be remembered, by her loved ones for her hobbies and enjoyment of reading, jigsaw puzzles and crocheting.
She was the devoted mother of Sarah V. Curelop of Norton and the late Ronald, Lisa and Paul. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Cassandra Bossardet and her husband Brian of Norwood, Keri Callinan of Plymouth, Zachary Shaw and his wife Kristina Campbell of Norton, and the great grandmother of Jacob, Lailah, Violet, Liliana, Kennedi and Maddison. She was the dear sister of Alice Roberts and her husband Jack of Tennessee, the late Glen Baiely and the late Jean MacLauchlan and her late husband Dale MacLauchlan.
Graveside services in Garland Maine, along with a service in celebration of her life, will be held on a date and place to be announced.
Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Vornie with a donation in her memory made to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, 19 Court Street, Boston, MA
