
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our precious infant daughter, Maleeyah Kay Brown, born on April 15, 2026, and who gained her angel wings on April 30, 2026. Though her time on earth was brief, she brought immeasurable love, joy, and light into the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Born to her loving parents, Hannah Mathis and Eddie Lee Brown Jr., Maleeyah was a beautiful blessing whose memory will forever live in the hearts of her family. Every moment spent with her was deeply cherished and will never be forgotten.
In her passing, Maleeyah gave the selfless gift of donation, bringing hope and healing to others. Though tiny in size, her life carried a powerful meaning and touched many hearts.
Maleeyah has gone home to be with our Father in Heaven, where she now rests peacefully in the arms of the angels. Though she is no longer here with us, her love and beautiful spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her loving parents, Hannah Mathis and Eddie Lee Brown Jr.; five siblings, three brothers and two sisters, Jaleeyah Brown, Kasara Brown, Eddie Lee Brown, Emmett Brown, and Takoda Austin; her loving grandparents, Sharon Austin, Connie Barnes, and Ron and Rita Mathis; her great-grandmother, Linda Kay Barnes; three uncles, Dominic Austin (Crystal), Tim Brown (Monquie), and Gary Brown (Ophelia); aunts, Hope Harmon and Ellie Mathis; great-aunts, Vicki Thompson and Carrie Jo Brantley; and cousins, Rylea Merritt, Katie Merritt, Callie Merritt, and Lacey Merritt, along with many other family members and loved ones who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her brother, Weston Creed Mathis.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Friday, May 8, 2026, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with the Dominic Austin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her precious spirit.
