With hearts weighed by sorrow yet lifted by love, we honor the life and passing of Kathy Gelin, who gently departed this world on April 29th 2026 of Cancer.
Born on October 22, 1983 in Jacksonville Florida, Kathy was a soul of quiet strength and radiant spirit—a light that did not demand attention, yet warmed every space it entered. Her presence was a soft melody in the lives of those who knew her, steady and comforting, like a familiar song that never fades.
To know Kathy was to witness kindness in its purest form. She carried love in her words, grace in her actions, and a depth of compassion that left lasting imprints on every heart she touched. Whether through laughter shared, wisdom offered, or silence held in understanding, she gave pieces of herself freely and without condition. She is ;s one of a kind. She is irreplaceable.
She found beauty in music, dancing, laughing, cooking, waxing, and having a great time with friends and family, and in doing so, taught those around her to see the world with gentler eyes. Her life was not measured in years alone, but in the quiet impact of her love, the strength of her spirit, and the memories she left behind. An amazing mother, sister, friend, and wife. An amazing worker. She was so passionate when it came to her work. She was an angel in a world full of evil.
Kathy is lovingly remembered by her beloved daughter Sanai Stephen, her husband Jean Walson, and her two brothers. Though she has journeyed beyond our sight, her essence lingers—in the echoes of laughter, in the warmth of shared moments, and in the love that time cannot erase.
We release our beloved Kathy with tears, but also with gratitude—for a life that, though no longer seen, will never be forgotten.
May Kathy rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to bloom in the hearts of those she loved.
