Robert Charles Bettez, 88, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 23, 1937, in Derry, NH, a son of the late Rodolphe and Evelina (LaRose) Bettez. Robert had resided in Londonderry for more than 40 years, formerly living in East Derry and Derry, NH.
Robert was deeply committed to his community and took great pride in helping others. He helped establish the original Derry Boys Club, where he remained an active member for over 25 years and served as Treasurer. He also dedicated more than 25 years to the Derry Little League, supporting generations of local youth. In addition, Robert was a member of Hoodkroft Country Club in Derry, where he served as an officer.
Above all, Robert cherished time with his family. He enjoyed simple pleasures, especially taking rides and spending time together. He and his beloved wife Janet spent many happy years wintering in Naples, Florida, creating lasting memories together.
He is survived by four sons, Robert Bettez and his wife Donna of Manchester, NH, Jonathan Bettez and his wife Linda of Candia, NH, Andrew Bettez and his wife Rebecca of Candia, and Walter Bettez of Manchester; five grandchildren, Craig Bettez, Brooke Crist and husband Jason, Daniel Bettez, Jennifer Bettez and fiancé Dennis Barnes, and Bryant Bettez; as well as six great-grandchildren, Kate Bettez, Jack Bettez, Ella Crist, Coen Crist, Sierra Barnes and Sophia Barnes. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Janet (Horsfall) Bettez in 2022.
Funeral services will be held privately with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry is assisting the family with arrangements.
