
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pompeo “Paul” Peccia, from Jamaica Plain on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the age of 85.
He was the son of the late Giovanni and Nicolina (Orrino) Peccia.
Pompeo immigrated to the United States from Cantalupo, Italy in 1953.
Pompeo worked as a barber for many years in Roslindale where many lifelong friendships were made. He will be remembered for his kindness, generous spirit, and deep love and devotion he showed to his family.
Pompeo is survived by his loving sister; Maria Monaco (and her late husband Dante M.) formally of Holbrook; his cherished nieces and nephews; Luigi “Gino” Monaco and his wife Lisa, Mario Monaco and his lifelong partner Cynthia Courtney, Dante Monaco, Anna Brookes and her husband Eric; adored great nieces and nephews, Anthony Monaco and his wife Kaitlin, Arianna Monaco, Emily and Andrew Monaco, Eric and Mikayla Brookes. Pompeo is also remembered fondly by many extended family members, including cousins and their families as well as a great number of dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing hour on Tuesday May 5, 2026, from 10-11 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 AM in St. Thomas Aquinas Church 97 South Street, Jamaica Plain, MA. 02130
In lieu of flowers, donations in Pompeo’s name can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
