Laurent Guy Etienne (87) of Stoughton passed away on April 29th at Boston Medical Center–South. He was the beloved husband of Marie Telcide Etienne.
Born in Jérémie, Haiti, he was the son of the late Esdra Etienne and Rosia (Pierre) Etienne. Laurent worked for many years as a housekeeper at Beth Israel Hospital before retiring. He was a devoted elder of the Philadelphia Church in Malden, where he faithfully served his community. Laurent will be remembered for his kindness, humility, devotion to his family, and his strong work ethic.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter, Guirlene Rodriguez; his sister, Vivienne Packot; two grandchildren, Enock and Guerdyne; and his great-granddaughter, Elyanna.
Funeral services will be held at the Brockton Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church, 235 Court Street, Brockton, on Friday, May 15th at 10:00 AM. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
