Gus Diecidue, age 92, of Medford passed away on Tuesday, April 28th, at Aberjona Nursing Center of Winchester. Born Accursio Diecidue in Sciacca, Sicily, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Farmusa) Diecidue. Changing his name to Gus when he immigrated to the US in the 1960s, he settled first in Everett. Gus moved to Medford after marrying, and worked hard as a baker.
Gus was the beloved husband of Margaret (Bramante) Diecidue, and the devoted father of Joseph Diecidue. He was the dear brother of Diego (deceased) and his wife Carmela, Genoeffa, Accursia and her husband Mimmo Billera (deceased), Joanne (deceased) and her husband Peter Sanfilippo and Tony and his wife Angela. He is also survived by loving great-nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, May 6th from 4 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, May 7th at 10 AM concluding with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
