Yvette C. (Methe) Harrington, age 91, passed away on April 26, 2026 at Day Brook Village in Holyoke. She was born on December 17, 1934 in Springfield, daughter of the late Elphege L. Methe and Laura M. (Brassard) Methe. Yvette was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School. She was a communicant of St Rose de Lima Parish. She worked as a secretary at Savage Arms, in the Cafeteria for Chicopee Public Schools and also for the Koffee Kup Bakery for many years before she retired. In her later years, she enjoyed her weekly coffee with her friends and going to the casino with a purse full of quarters. Family was very important to her. She especially enjoyed all the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband William F. Harrington who passed away in 2005, after being blessed with 47 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her son Brian W. Harrington, her daughter, Sandra M. Harrington; two brothers, Roger Methe and John Methe and her sister Jeannette BelleFleur. She is survived by her son Thomas Harrington and his wife Sandra of Granby; two grandchildren, Bradley Harrington and his wife Meaghan and Jillian Hollenbeck and her husband Shane. She also leaves 5 beloved great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Funeral on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 10:00 AM.
