Obituary

Alfred Colameta, a man defined by his deep loyalties and passion for life, passed away peacefully, on March 27, 2026 at age 56 leaving behind a legacy of cherished friendships that became his family. Born in Everett, Massachusetts, to the late Al and Maria Colameta, Al was an only child who spent his life building a wide and vibrant circle of loved ones.

After living briefly in Lynn, Al spent the last 15 years as a resident of Fall River. While he was predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his cousin, Roberta Colameta Harriman, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

To know Al was to know his passions. He was a fixture at the racetrack and happiest when surrounded by cars or traveling the road with his friends. His home was anchored by his love for his pets; he is now reunited with his beloved cat, Moochie, and leaves behind his faithful companion, Bella.

For over 42 years, Al’s heart belonged to the family he chose. He was a second father to Makenna Dias, who was the light of his life. Together, they shared countless holidays and adventures. He was a deeply loved member of the Dias family, including Michelle and Kaylynn. For the past 30 years, Al found a second home with Eunice and "Pappa John," who cared for him as their own son. Al will be remembered as a man who proved that family isn't just about who you are born to, but who you choose to love.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Graveside service in Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett of Friday, May 1 at 11:00a.m.
