Javier Rosario (65) of Fall River passed away on April 26th in the city.
He was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Gerardo Rosario and Marina (Otero) Merced. Javier worked as a youth counselor for many different organizations and was a devoted Boston sports fan, proudly supporting the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins. He was a US Army Veteran, enjoyed playing chess, and was known for his kindness, big heart, and deep love for his family.
Javier is survived by his loving daughter, Melissa Rosario; two brothers, Gerardo Rosario Jr. and Kenneth Rosario; seven sisters, Lourdes Otero, Lillian Kearns, Brenda Rosario, Joan Colon, Janet Medeiros, Araceli Rosario, and Jocelyn Rosario; and seven grandchildren, Elijah, Angelyse, Travis, Michael, Joel, Logan, and Liam. He is the stepfather of the late Donald and Emily. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on Monday, May 4th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
