James Anthony “Tony” Loyd, 42, of Ty Ty passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at his residence. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Loyd at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals immediately following the service. Mr. Loyd will be laid to rest at a later date.
Born May 17, 1983, in Eustis, Florida, Mr. Loyd was the son of Bobby Randall Carter of Florida and Virginia Dawson Simpson of Ty Ty.
Mr. Loyd is survived by his wife, Destinee Beck Loyd of Tifton; two sons, Raven Loyd and Damian Loyd; one daughter, Charlie Loyd; and one brother, Matthew Bray of Ellijay.
