Obituary

Philip A. Lacolla, age 89, of Boston’s North End passed away on Sunday, April 26th, at Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere. Born and raised in the North End, he was the son of the late Frank and Lena (LaGrassa) Lacolla. After marrying, Philip lived in Medford for three years before returning to Boston, and was the owner and operator of Logan Luggage Express. Philip loved travel, especially cruises. He also enjoyed painting and cigars, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Philip was the beloved husband of the late Louise M. (Lisi) Lacolla, and the devoted father of Philip Lacolla, Jr. and his wife Angela, Cheryl Ruocco and her husband Joseph, Eric Lacolla and his wife Linda, Steven Lacolla and his wife Lorraine, and Dennis Lacolla and his wife Donna. He was the loving grandfather of Philip Lacolla, III, and his wife Ashley, Krista Lacolla, Toni-Ann Walker, Joie-Ann Ciappina, Jennie Lacolla, Mariana Lacolla, Steven Lacolla, and Nico Lacolla, and also the great grandfather to Vincent, Stella, Romi, and Capri. Philip was also the dear brother of Nicholas and Vita.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Philip’s family in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston, on Thursday, April 30th from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
