
Raymond Donald Longa, 86, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday April 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 7, 1939, in Rutland, VT, the son of the late Louis and Hope (Martin) Longa and had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 56 years, formerly living in Nashua, NH.
He is survived by a loving family, his beloved wife of 48 years, Martha (Gendron) Longa, his stepson, Derek, three grandsons, Andrew, Riley and Hunter and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Katherine and her husband David; four sister- in-laws, four brother-in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
Ray had a fantastic sense of humor as well as a warm and caring nature, his kindness was appreciated by all.
Raymond retired as a technical engineer for Hydrocision in Billerica, MA. He was formerly employed by Bard Medical and Hampshire Manufacturing. He enjoyed his motorcycles and was an avid photographer. He had a brilliant mind and was always constantly learning. He enjoyed attending Tedx, RISE programs and travel exploration with Road Scholar.
A memorial calling hour will be held on Saturday May 23, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A memorial service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to either Home, Health and Hospice Care in Merrimack, NH, Catholic Charities or the Salvation Army.
