
Rachela Divina (DeSimone) Caso passed away peacefully at home on April 20th, surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was 98. Rachela was born on July 21, 1927 and raised in Passo Di Mirabella, Avellino, Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Pasqualina (D'Ambrosio) DeSimone.
She and her late husband of 67 years, Carlino, came to the United States in 1957. They lived in Boston’s North End and then settled in Medford, where they kept a beautiful home. Rachela worked as a seamstress in Boston’s most notable clothing firms before her retirement. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she was devoted to the care of her family.
The Wife of the late Carlino Caso, Rachela was the devoted mother of Mary Zingariello of Melrose, Lena DiPrizio and her husband Louis of North Reading, and Pena “Josephine” Forman of Needham. She was a loving nana to Lisa D’Arcangelo and her husband David, Vincent Zingariello and his wife Monica, Jennifer DiPrizio, Danielle Pucillo her husband Vincent, Lauren Marolda and her husband Matthew, Michael Forman and his wife Erica, and Marissa O’Leary and her husband Brian. Rachela was a loving great-grandmother to Isabella, Carmine, Sofia, Joseph, Nicholas, Alaina, Henry, Charlie, Sloane, Joshua, Chase, Ella, and Olivia. She was the dear sister of Ida Bianco of Medford and her late husband Pasquale, and the late Eduardo DeSimone.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, April 23rd from 4 – 8 PM and again on Friday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St, Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
