Towle, of Brockton, formerly of East Hartford, CT, September 15, 2006, John C. “Jack” Towle, 86 years. Husband of the late Ruby G. (Chisler) Towle. Brother of M. Ellen Keane of Brockton and the late William J. Towle, Robert W. Towle and Patricia A. O’Leary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 6-8pm.

Obituary Information

John C. “Jack” Towle died Friday morning at Baypointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Charles J. and Ethel C. (Walsh) Towle, he was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1938. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1940 and served in WWII. Following his discharge from the Navy in 1946, he moved to East Hartford, CT where he had been a longtime resident. Following the death of his wife Ruby G. (Chisler) Towle three years ago, who was a teacher in the E. Hartford school system, he moved back to Brockton. While living in East Hartford, he had been employed for 35 years at the Hartford Post Office. Jack was also an artist who enjoyed painting and was a member of the Governors Honor Guard of CT.

He is survived by his sister M. Ellen Keane of Brockton and many nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Ruby G. (Chisler) Towle, brother of the late William J. Towle, Robert W. Towle and Patricia A. O’Leary.
