Obituary

Carmella A. Oteri (Pericotti) of Medford passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was 86 years old. Born in Boston, but grew up in the North End, she was the cherished daughter of the late James F. and Etta (Puleo) Pericotti.

Prior to her retirement, Carmella, lovingly known as "Camille" to her friends and family, was best known for working in the bakery department of Johnny's Foodmaster in Medford for many many years, which she greatly enjoyed. Carmella was staunch and loyal Red Sox fan. Her love and devotion to her family was unfathomable, especially when it came to the holidays, family feasts and sports.

Carmella was devoted mother of Philip A. Oteri of Everett, Lynda M. Oteri of Medford and Joseph J. Oteri and his wife Julie of Medford. She was the adored grandmother of Philip Oteri and David and Brianna Oteri. Carmella was the dear sister of James Pericotti and his late wife Betty Ann of Winthrop, Marguerite Bramante and her late husband Domenic of Reading and Marie Galante and her husband Joseph of Medford. She was the former wife of the late Philip J. Oteri. Carmella was also survived by many close nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visiting hour will be held in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, MA, on Wednesday, April 22 from 10-11AM, followed by a funeral Mass beginning at 11AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be private.
