Thomas J. Cassidy, 68, of Medway died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Medway Country Manor, surrounded by family.
Born in Natick on February 18, 1958, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Eileen G. (McKeown) Cassidy.
Tom was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1976, where he played Basketball, and was a co-captain in Football, and in Track. He attended Bridgeton Academy in Maine and earned a bachelor’s degree from Nichols College in Dudley.
Tom was the owner of “Junk It Now”, a waste and recycle removal business in Medway, and also worked as a school bus driver for Holmes Transportation for many years.
Tom, enjoyed basketball, both playing and coaching. Tom loved to travel and vacation in Cape Cod, Florida, Wyoming, Montana, Arkansas and Barbados. He enjoyed being outdoors and walking his favorite beaches like Kalmus Beach in Hyannis, Siesta Key Beach in Florida, Medway Trails, but especially at the Fatima Shrine in Holliston.
Tom had a strong Christan Faith he often said “If God is with you, who can be against you, No One”.
Tom is survived by his siblings; Francis Cassidy of Medway, Joanne Cassidy of South Yarmouth, Eileen and her husband Jefferey Yost of Etowah, NC, Kathleen and her late husband James Jay Wilmot of Middleboro, John Cassidy and his wife Linda of Medway, James Cassidy and his wife Donna of Medway, David Cassidy and his wife Carol of Medway, and Richard Cassidy of Medway.
Tom is survived by his god children, Michael Cassidy and Kara Cassidy Sheridan and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, Lauren Cassidy-Bach and her children Michael and Kayla, Michael Cassidy, and his son Michael, Jay Yost and his children John Evin, Shay, and Anna, Emily Wilmot, Richard Wilmot, the late Jordana Cassidy, Kara and her husband Conor Sheridan and their children Jordan, Avery, and Casey, Brynn and her husband Alex Goldsmith and their children Anna, Emma, and Elizabeth, Meghan Cassidy, John Cassidy and his fiancée Rachel Albrecht, Jennifer and her husband Randy Gariepy, and their children Maeve and Norah, James Cassidy and his wife Carolyn and their children James, Robert, and Grace, Melissa and her husband Alessandro Santini, and their children Daniela and Rose, Phillip Cassidy, David Cassidy and his wife Mary and their children Margaret, and David, Lewis Cassidy, Julia Cassidy, and her fiancé Sean Powers, Brooke Cassidy, Johannah and her husband Josh Goldfarb.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 9 - 11 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
