Ann Louise Morea, 50, of Meredith, New Hampshire, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Concord Hospital in Laconia, New Hampshire, following cardiac complications related to treatments during her 17-month journey with brain cancer.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, Ann was the only child of Jesus and Lillian Morea. She devoted much of her life to helping others learn, grow, and feel seen. For 21 years, she worked as a Spanish teacher, teaching students from Pre-K through 12 and all Spanish levels (I–V) in Concord, Hopkinton, Bow, and Pembroke. Her love of language, culture, and connection shaped generations of students.
In addition to teaching, Ann graduated from Seacoast Career Schools in Manchester as a Licensed Massage Therapist and founded Hand to Hand Massage Therapy in 2012. Through both teaching and healing, she shared compassion, patience, and a deep desire to help others feel supported and understood. She was known for her gentle voice, warm presence, and her reminder to live with “ease and grace.”
Ann loved laughter, meaningful conversation, travel, and time spent with family and friends. Spain held a special place in her heart, and she found joy exploring new places and sharing travel experiences with students. Summers at her family’s camp on Crystal Lake in Gilmanton Ironworks were especially dear to her, where she found peace watching sunsets from the dock or drifting on the boat.
Ann was a loving daughter, mother, and wife. She is survived by her husband, Carlos A. Perez; her daughters, Gabriela (22) and Rebecca (20); and her son, Javier (8), along with extended family. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held Sunday, May 3, from 12:00pm-3:00pm, at Church Landing in Meredith, New Hampshire.
