Diann Marie (Merchant) Raper

As most of our friends have already seen, Barry lost his better half of 27 years on April 12, 2026. We've spent all day trying to figure out what to say, but all we can come up with is how much she was loved and will be dearly missed. It just doesn't seem real or possible, but we take great comfort in knowing that you are no longer in pain and that you are with the ones that you loved that have gone before you.
Diann Marie (Merchant) Raper, 55, of Anderson passed away on April 12, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Heart Hospital in Carmel following an extended illness.
She was born on December 14, 1970 in Senora, California to Robert and Barbara Merchant. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Raper of Anderson whom she married on December 5, 1998; her father, Robert (Dixie) Merchant of Oregon; four children, Devon (Kaylee) Raper, Andrea Raper, Timothy (Mayra) Raper, and Sierra Raper all of Anderson; a brother, Wayne Thomas of Washington; six grandchildren, Raelynn, Maverick, Seraphina, Ezra, Ariella, and Bryson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara (Thomas) Merchant and a brother, Allen Merchant.
Services will be handled at a later date.
