Obituary

Anne M. (Fontaine) Gosselin, 87, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Anne was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Theodore J. and Pauline M. (Benoit) Fontaine.

Anne graduated from Holy Name of Jesus High School in Worcester in 1956. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Worcester.

Anne married her high school sweetheart, Francis L. Gosselin, in 1957. They were blessed with 5 children. She is survived by her daughter, Susan M. Holmes and her husband, Allen of Worcester, her loving caregivers for the past several years; her son, Michael F. Gosselin and his wife, Donna of Worcester; her grandsons, George Law and his wife, Stacy and Joseph Law and his wife, Shawna; and her great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Gloria M. Anderson and her husband, Gilbert of Peterborough, NH; and her sisters-in-law, Sr. Therese Gosselin SSA of Marlborough, MA, Madeline Manfield of Charlton, MA and Marcelle Trackerman of Uncasville, CT.

Anne was predeceased by her husband, Francis; her daughters, Judith A. Law and Joan E. Gosselin; her son James G. Gosselin; her sister, Janice C. Gee; and her longtime close friend, Frank J. Roy.

Anne worked for many years at Our Lady of the Angels Church as the parish secretary. She enjoyed reading, knitting and traveling with her longtime companion, Frank. However, she was truly the happiest when she was able to spend time with her family and friends.

Anne’s Mass of Christian Burial, together with her son James’ Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated on Thursday, April 16 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St., Worcester. Their burials will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main S. Worcester, MA 01603.
