Jim passed away on April 5, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, his ashes will be spread over the Pacific Ocean, a place that held his heart.
As an Air Force pilot, Jim soared through the skies, embracing the freedom of flight. After his service, he found purpose at Esalen, where he served as the head of maintenance, nurturing the beauty of the land and the spirit of community.
With a brave heart, he sold everything and embarked on a remarkable journey, living on his boat for many years. This lifestyle reflected his adventurous spirit, allowing him to connect with nature in a way that was both spiritual and profoundly fulfilling. From the sky to the ocean, Jim’s life was a constant spiritual adventure, guided by a deep sense of wonder rather than traditional beliefs.
Rest in peace, dear friend. Your spirit will forever sail with the winds and waves.
