
Robert M. “Bob” Voyer, 62, of Manville died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday April 8, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital after a courageous battle with health issues.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Henry W. Voyer and Lorraine M. (Laprade) Voyer. Bob was raised in the close-knit village of Manville and was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1982. He also went on to attend Arthur Angelo’s Hairdressing School. Bob lived in Blackstone for several years before returning to his roots in Manville where he remained a lifelong resident of his hometown.
Bob was employed for his career at Waters Corporation in Milford for over 30 years before retiring several years ago. He was awarded multiple certificates for his hard work, leadership and dedication.
Bob was best known for his sharp wit and sense of sarcasm. He was a die-hard Bruins and Patriots fan and could be found in the stands at many of their games. He treasured time spent with close family and friends. Motorcycle rides, card games, and movie nights are just a few examples of the wonderful and social life he lived with the people he cared for.
His biggest passion in life was being a Pépère to his granddaughters, Hannah and Jayne, with whom he spent as much time with as possible.
Bob is the proud and loving dad to Jess “Buffy” Haffner and her husband Ben Haffner and Jason “Crappy” Voyer and his companion Samantha Lussier all of Manville. Bob is the proud “Pépère” to Hannah Haffner and Jayne Voyer. Bob is also survived by his brothers Roger Voyer and his wife, Doreen, of Lincoln, and Raymond Voyer and
his wife, Michelle, of Smithfield. He is also survived by his Godson Ryan Voyer and his wife Brittany along with their daughter Amelia of Warwick, RI. He also leaves behind numerous friends and extended family.
Bob was the former husband and lifelong friend of Jess and Jason’s mother, Sandy Menard and her companion Donna Sousa of Chepachet, RI.
Everyone is welcome to gather to honor and remember Bob at his funeral on Tuesday, April 14th at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St. Manville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St. Manville. Bob will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery in Manville. Visiting hours are Monday, April 13th from 4:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home at 71 Central St. in Manville.
