Obituary

Harold Walker Lewis, Jr.
January 23, 1937 – March 21, 2026

Harold Walker Lewis, Jr., age 89, passed away March 21, 2026 in The Pinehills of Plymouth, MA with his immediate family by his side surrounding him with love. Named after his father but known to most as Tim, he was a beloved husband, father, relative, and friend who always lit up the room with his magnanimous personality.

Tim grew up in Oak Park, IL enjoying football, hockey, and spending time with friends and family. Before graduating from the University of Wisconsin in Madison where he studied business, played club hockey, and was a member of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity, he met his future wife Linda Ihle. Together they built an inspiring life of love and laughter with family and friends creating memories that warm our hearts.

Tim began his career as a salesman at Belden Electric Connector Manufacturing Company for which he traveled domestically. In a short time, he and Linda moved to Darien, Connecticut where their daughter, Carrie was born and they lived for 50 years. He later worked at Tienshan, Inc. as a successful businessman traveling extensively in Europe and China building US relations with the Chinese Arts & Crafts Association.

His many passions included the Wisconsin Badgers, guitar, boating, golf, travel, water and snow skiing, cooking, reading history and mysteries. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and his favorite people: his grandchildren and dogs! He truly was a grandKID and dog whisperer.

Always on the ball, Tim was known for his optimism, wit, wisdom, determination, and deep devotion to his family. Just prior to retiring, he was plagued by blindness which completely changed the trajectory of their lives. Yet, through it all he never complained and didn’t feel sorry for himself. Instead he always kept moving, caring about others, and working on his health and well-being; all while remaining admirably resolute for the rest of his life. He was the epitome of an INSPIRATION to those who knew him best.

Tim is survived by his wife Linda of 63 years, his daughter Carrie, her husband Mark, and their children Will, Morgan, and Emery; his sister Abigail Lewis Petty, and his cherished, extended family of many nieces, nephews, their beloved spouses and children. He was predeceased by his father Harold Walker Lewis, his mother Catherine Brawley Lewis, and his sister Mary Lewis Corlett.

Tim will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and light.

A Celebration of Life will occur on Saturday, April 18th, 11:30am at the Winslowe’s View Meeting House in The Pinehills.
