Apryl D. Covington-Wright, age 57, of Tewksbury passed away on Sunday, April 5th, at Lowell General Hospital. Raised and educated in Medford, she was the daughter of the late James and Marsha (Cowens) Covington. After graduating Medford High School, Apryl moved to Tewksbury. She was employed as an administrative assistant, but was most proud of her work assisting children with special needs. Those lucky enough to have known her will remember Apryl as funny, strong willed, quick-witted, empathetic, and very loving.
Apryl was the beloved wife of the late Ellis Wright, and the devoted mother of James Wright, and Daniel Covington, who died in infancy. She was the dear sister of Stephen Goode, Janetta Goode and Jamiel Covington, loving aunt of Cameron Goode, Jacob Savage-Goode and Tyera Godfrey, and the cherished great-aunt of Tayshawn and Javion Godfrey.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Apryl’s name to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
