Auburn – Peter L. Toda, 79, of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in Webster Manor after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Pete is survived by his companion of 54 years, Christine A. (Wolfe) Toda of Auburn; two sons, Alex Toda and his wife, Melissa Kachura of Berkeley, CA and Michael Toda and his wife, Lisa of Peabody, MA; two grandchildren, Chloé Toda and Cecelia Toda; many nieces and nephews, including Sandra Marschner and Susan Marschner and many cousins.
Mr. Toda was born in Worcester, son of the late Leo and Theresa (Moran) Toda and is also predeceased by a sister, Loretta Marschner.
Pete graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester. He started working as a lineman for the former New England Power Company and then transitioned to being a driver for many years with various companies in the Worcester area, retiring from Atlas Distributors.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 170 and the Auburn Lodge of Elks. Pete always enjoyed taking day trips to the casino and never turned down an opportunity to watch a good horror movie. He was passionate about golf and always enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his friends. Pete enjoyed being on Cape Cod and loved nothing more than being able to be with his family, especially his two granddaughters, Chloé and Cecelia.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 13 from 10 AM to 12 Noon in the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
