Muon Van Nguyen, 82, of Worcester died Wednesday, April 8th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 64 years, Thu Van Minh Tran died in January. He leaves his children, Hung Tu Quoc Nguyen and his wife, Kim Thi Nguyen, Thinh Nguyen and his wife, Ut Duong, Tan Le and her husband, Hao Nguyen, Binh Nguyen and his wife, Tiem Nguyen, Vuong Nguyen and his wife, Trang Nguyen; Tho Nguyen and her husband, Thien Tran; daughter in law, Ngan Le; grandchildren, Duy Quoc Nguyen and his wife, Yen Bich Lam, Quang Nguyen and his wife, Trinh Nguyen; Sang Nguyen, Oanh Nguyen, Nguyen Le and his wife, Man Huynh, Chien Nguyen, and Loan Tran. He was predeceased by a son, Thai Nguyen and a grandson, Thom Nguyen.
He was born in Can Tho, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States with his wife in 1995. He found happiness in the everyday moments—reading the newspaper, working through Sudoku puzzles, and keeping his mind sharp and engaged. These routines brought him comfort and were a reflection of his thoughtful and steady nature.
Above all, Muon cherished the time he spent with his family. Whether gathered together or sharing in small, meaningful moments, his presence brought warmth and connection to those around him.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 14th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. His funeral service will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15th in the funeral home followed by cremation at 10:00 a.m. in Rural Crematory, 180 Grove Street, Worcester.
